As a former basic math instructor at Capilano University, I appreciate Times Tables Make Sense. My students almost always felt stupid around math so they had such a tough time overcoming those barriers to learning. This cartoon math book is light and airy and full of fun so it would make them laugh at the jokes and relax to learn important math concepts. Although the characters are children, it appeals to any age of learner and uses examples from daily life to illustrate math concepts such as eggs in a carton or shapes in a pizza.
